I found a bell on my bike solved a lot of my problems with joggers and pedestrians , give it a go . .

 

I found a bell works well on the trails too. Better than shouting Track (or TGGHHHREEKK, depending on which area you ride in :ph34r: )

 

Unfortunately, mine is in pieces after a small lie-down last week

I think the whole thing would be settled if everyone [Cyclist and Runner] just abides by the Keep left, Pass right thing...

 

Think that is a rule in South Africa :whistling:

 

If they could also apply this when they drive on free way it would help!

I tend to find that a technique of looking ahead, seeing the moving obstruction (Also known as a jogger) coming my way, plan my next move by looking over my shoulder, sticking my finger out to show oncoming traffic that I am moving right and then do as I promised. and the jogger and I pass each other with mutual admiration and a smile while the motorist to whom I indicated my intent has not had a hissy fit...

That's so weird. When I give motorists the finger, they have a hissy fit.
