Oh ja, was on my training bike, so felt the PAIN after all the groups started together in the 118km race. Eish, at least I hold on to the front bunch for about 40 km.

His ear is fat now (compliments from me) and he got a R2500 fine (compliments Traffic Ladies). His car was "checked" for an hour. I have deliberately taken pictures of his car, himself and the Officers writing the ticket. I have seen the ticket myself. Sure he can wriggle himself out of it - but he at least will have to do some spade work.
LdT Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 First time I did a road race not on my MTB - borrowed a friends training road bike, big difference in speed, but very sore butt after the 118km.Very well organized race, plenty of marshals, all of them helpful and friendly - kudo's to Jacaranda Cycle Club, see you again next year.

I was also in the small group that nearly got hit by the corola, my friend got hit but no damage as it was just a scrape... could have been much worse!! I must admit I yelled like a mad mad monkey but it was close! Does anyone know where we can get the gallery of the event? Theres some photos I would like to get..

I was on the old Giant TCR, Huggies shirt and Kleenex bibs. BTW, there was some piccies taken at the start, but not sure if there was someone on the route.
