My sweet spot is approx 25 psi. Any less and the tire folds in the corners (WICKED grip but a bit disconcerting) any more and it washes a bit too much. It's very personal and as Iwan says also a function of the tire rim combo

Okay so very new to tubeless, and here where i am staying in the overberg i am only really exposed to the straight loose rocky descents, with maybe one or two slopes. Other than that everything else is pretty flat, undulated, and not many flowy sections.

with tubes i was at 25psi front(2.4 Nobby Nic / Mavic 319s ) and 35psi rear(2.2 Nobby Nic / Mavic 319s). when i converted the wheelset to tubeless i started at 28psi back and front and ended up with 14psi front and 22psi rear. handled this type of terrain well.

i went to Jonkers this past weekend

Canaries was very nice, for the first time "ding'd" my rims (no damages... yet) with no punctures... haha, with tubes i wouldve been suffering hey. Double black was something else though. I wiped out completely on Bennets flow, where the very first off camber is. At the entry to the right hand corner i pumped the front wheel, forcing the tyre to roll off the rim. with my rim firmly planted in the dirt i managed to successfully land my face and watch my beautiful blue bike do some gymnastics.

having said that. tyre inflated to 21psi both back and front, the rest of the journey went well. Oh, and i repeated the off-cambers lol. I dont think i will be going much lower than 20psi from now on, maybe just a few psi here or there. In my experience i can say that carrying speed through certain types of corners at low pressure with 2.4 NN SS Evo pacestar tyres can be a bit costly.

But ya, still finding my sweet spot as well.... on soon to be Mavic 7 series rims instead of current 319s.

Oi. Anyone want a slightly used Hans Dump?

Free.

It's going out with the garbage tomorrow (Which is what it is)

If you can be a my house before the bergies get to it it's yours. I gave up on it on Saturday.

Please elaborate...

Did the knobs come off (as I've heard they're prone to do)? Or did it make you go splat?

It comes off the front. Still pretty new.

I just can't get a feeling from the front end when I tip it into a corner in sandy corners. And let's face it 90% of the corners where we ride in the cape are sandy.

I've put a Muddy Mary on the front. Hopefully that will give me the feedback I want.

Rats...

I see Taahir is faster than me. If anybody does have a spare tyre (good for rear) let me know please.

Bear in mind that money is a HUGE object :D

From me that just ride my bike and know little about how to do it actually ...I have found it doesnt matter how perfect I can pump my tyres or not, if I do not put the right 'downwards pressure' at the right place on my bike at a certain time it will not matter if my tyre is 2bar or 1.8bar.

Now I prefer to go a bit harder than needed to avoid punctures (never had any on my trail bike, once on my DH bike...stupid tubes) and because I am not a pro, I find it way more of a riding advantage to 'work the bike' (lean it / weight position / pressure point) to help me through those loose corners/berms.

It still makes me smile every time my rear is sliding out and then it is amazing that when my body gets in a certain position 'whoop' the rear catches and I ride it out....

If you are really serious about your enduro'ing and your enduro tyres pressure for Enduro, then consider the new Enduro Specific Floor Pump from Park Tool

Can the Enduro Specific Floor Pump from Park Tool be used on front and rear wheels or should I buy one specifically for the front tyre and another one specifically for the rear tyre?

It is apparently fully Enduro Specific for all Specific Enduro Tyres.

On that topic Clement .... did you by any chance find any old Enduro Specific 1.5" 60/70/80mm stems in your spares box?

He may have to look in his DH specific spares box... Or maybe FR?

Either way, are you sure you want to use one of those, Hairy? You'll be a laughing stock in the Enduro community.

I like to land sideways a little bit on jumps, so I run the rear at 2.5bar(35psi?) and the front at 2.0bar(28.5psi?).

Even with that pressure in the rear I still get the occasional little burp if I land funny.

Tyres are 2.25 Nobby Nics.

How wide is the inside of the rim?
