Have we reached a mutual conclusion to the rear derailleur situation?

Somehow I think for road perhaps but for MTB I'm not convinced ;)

Leave front as is, 10 speed cassette, shifter and derailleur.

Or get the 12-36 9speed cassette and leave everything else.

Went to my local Bike shop and got all my gears together(Pun intended)

All i need for the conversion will be the cassette, 10 spd chain and shifter. My xt derailleur will work perfectly and its not gonna cost me more than 1.5K

No need to change anything in front.

What are you running up front(Crank wise)?

Hate to say it, but it won't work with the 9 speed derailleur unless you have a 10 speed flat bar ROAD shifter.

Post the result and PLEASE prove me wrong. I have a bunch of stuff to recycle

Do you wanna have a swop meet? I've got a few things you may need and vice versa
