A warning to all those looking for a new Cannondale.

 

Although I was very keen for this one http://johannesburg....ll-Suspens.html, I just didn't trust him at all. Especially considering he wanted to courier it to me only after I paid him the first half. When I suggested I fly down to Swellendam to view the bike, he said he had another interested buyer who was currently trying to do an EFT. He said if I did mine first it would be mine :-) what ever! I told him good luck!

 

To think I almost lost R19 000 when my wife tried to buy it as a surprise for me!

I would pay 19k only for that frame. Definitely a scam

If that bike were for real it would be worth a helluvalot more than R19k, unless that was for the deposit. Even so. This is the second warning I have read about this guy in Swellendam.

Yes, exactly what I thought and have since been told the Swellendam scam has been around for some time now.

 

He leaves a cell number and a land line, surely the cops would do something about it, but no!

I just "Flagged" it as spam now, i suggest everyone does the same, its not going to stop but it will delay them from another person being scammed.

It is a scam. Rather funny that you can tell that the info is from a Canadian bike review.

"While Cannondale mountain bikes may not be a common sight here in BC"

 

Maybe the scammer thinks that BC means "Business Central", must be the same thing as Joburg CBD.

That's hilarious, the one is being sold by Solomon Huges and the other by Pamela Huges. I bet they are also both his sons bike? unfortunately he hasn't replied to my e-mail yet, I hope he doesn't recognize the e-mail address? Has anyway received an e-mail back from him yet, I'm keen to get in touch with him, just for a laugh.
