TheNewGuy Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Put Armstrong on a 29er and he'd ride the k@k out of anyone but still wont win anything. I really do think its not the size of the wheel that matters, its the dude on the bike.
TheNewGuy Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Yes and it goes faster than a 29er Sure if you're on a unicycle. Might be faster on the technicals but that its about it.
VolkAdik Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 yes in truth I owned a total of 13x26ers in my life, but to be honest it has its place and thats not commuting. I prefer my 650B or 29er for that. keep the 26er for the tight technicals. Thats my opinion for my riding style.
blondeonabike Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Yes, I had a limited budget, so I chose 2nd hand 26er (2yrs old) spez epic comp. Its amazing and bang for my buck. Its not the wheel size that matters, If your fat and unfit no wheel size is going to help you!!
wynandvdmerwe Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 No. And the answer will stay the same for at least a couple of years to come!
