bmw1za Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 As a matter of interest, has anyone done a "seeding index" between Actual and Virtual rides done on the road with a GPS, and the same ride done on the IDT with the GPS file? I seem to be getting about a 25% constant difference where the IDT is faster at identical distance points. It doesn't bug me, I was just curious if that's about the norm. Warm up 15 mns.. recalibrate, Then do your ride. That normally sorts it out to within about 5 percent give or take
Harryn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Do you think the Ver 3 Valid Key I have will work on ver 4? You got me thinking hard now. Maybe i am talking rubbish - but its worth checking it out on the Tacx forums before shelling out on a new licence.
Harryn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Ok, seems the additional T1946/110V sticker on it is an indictor of the issue. Another motor swap by courier in progress... (thanks Coolheat).... touch wood, might be joining you next week then. Magic, hope you come right! Good on Coolheat for coming to the party.
Harryn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 The download is no problem ... I don't have a licence key for ver 4 My bad, sorry - it appears that you do need to buy a licence for ver 4. People are bitching about this exact issue on the tacx forums, saying that the new non-compatibility downwards is a deliberate ploy to force you to upgrade. http://forum.tacx.com/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=22835 I think that this is a poor show by Tacx. As it is they wont let their hardware broadcast power to an open source platform so that we can play with @Rouxtjie and his chinas, And to make matters worse they now are even limiting who in the Tacx community we can race against.

Andymann Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 So what's the longest any of you here has spent on the indoor? We were away at a wedding this weekend in Tzaneen and it rained, so we lost out on our 5hr ride. Cue the "out" lap of the Ironman Kona leg - 100km, 3:30. Needless to say my legs are shattered this morning!
Harryn Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Reminder to all: for tonight's "race" , which takes place at 19h00, we must all be updated to TTS 4.11.0. If you have not updated, you will not be able to see or join the race. We are doing the same route as last week, seeing as I was the only rider.

Andymann Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 "Rode" the Magalies Baby Monster last night. Bloody hell, it's as tough virtually as it is in real life....Scary thing is, took me about 15min less than what the top guys actually did on the race. Just shows how fast the top MTB boys are....

Harryn Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Guys, the next race is at 7 on Wednesday. Remember to upgrade to TTS 4.11.0 in order to join. Who is in? All ages, sizes and fitness levels welcome - treat it as spinning class, race at your own pace, klap it or be a slacker, but come ride - its an idt, not a clothes line!
Andymann Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Andy, can you send me the file?No worries - I've got a whole bunch actually. "Rode" the 94.7 yesterday. 3:07. I blew on Heartbreak hill. Much like I do every bloody year in the actual race.....
Andymann Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Before I head off this weekend on the scooter to get the new 94.7 route mapped, does anyone already have it?
