flyluis Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 You will definitely need a multiplayer license. This is my first ride with Harry, but I know that he does a GPS ride - then you would need a Google Earth license. Sweet! Might look into it. Spend so much money on a trainer and not using all the features is pretty doff...
bmw1za Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I ended up re-installing my operating system..Tacx reactivated my licence but 4 emails later and a week past i cant get them to reactivate my google licence(sigh). its only a month old ... strangely I did the proper transfer and deactivate licence .. just have to wait I suppose
Zatek Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I have a steerer frame for the flow if anybody is interested

Essack Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Ok guys - Harry won the race, as he was the only entrant!!! Does that still count? Heads up - Tacx software has an update (ver 4.11.0) - and with this update, you will not see multiplayer rides for anybody that is running anything lower. That means that anyone using Tacx software ver 3, or even the 4.10 will not be seen. http://forum.tacx.com/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=22835&start=20 This seems to be related to Tacx splitting the servers.

Then I'm screwed...version 3.13 ... not gonna buy 4 just for racing. Ver 3 does everything I need it to
Harryn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Then I'm screwed...version 3.13 ... not gonna buy 4 just for racing. Ver 3 does everything I need it to But its a free download.
Essack Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Email received from Tacx support: Hello essack, On version 4.11 you will not see the multplayer rides of TTS 3 and former TTS 4 version. So only other MP riders that are also on 4.11 Kind Regards, Tacx Support
straatvark Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hi, got a replacement motor from Coolheat/Tacx. - I must say very approachable people that know their stuff. But... a new issue though that I would like to describe in two parts:a) During calibration it keeps on telling me I have to much pressure between the tyre and motor brake. That should be easy to resolve by turning the adjuster - but I run out of enough thread to pull it away further from the wheel. The only way I can get the calibration right is to reduce the tyre pressure to 1 Bar. Now my experience with my previous motor was short-lived - but the calibration was easy and I'm pretty sure that the visual 'bulge' of the tyre against the motor was a LOT more than what I see now. Its almost as if the motor is a lot more sensitive to pressure. b) I follow the setup video to a T - but cant get the motor brake away from the tyre in the 'engage' position. (I ran out of thread) And it still touch the tyre 'softly' from my perspective, but still giving the high pressure warning during calibration. I'm pretty sure that on the old motor I was able to adjust a space between the motor and wheel while engaged. Although this might affect my experience, I doubt it somewhat - I'm pretty sure that the tyre was pressing a lot harder against the old motor brake at the correct calibrationSee the discussion here: http://forum.tacx.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22852I follow this video - especially the bit @ 3:27 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDWqz2ARHSAI use TTS4 - the latest version that one can download yesterday. (The latest version was released after I removed my motor, so that changed as well)It is the T1941 motor. (But on the new one there is an addition sticker with T1946/110V on it. It is also visible in the above video from Tacx. I cant remember if it was on my old one as well.) So, i'm in communication with Coolheat, have a tread open on Tacx forums as well as here. My emotions are ranging from feeling very stupid to extreme frustration. I might make a very stupid mistake here. Is it possible for someone with a Tacx (especially Fortius) to please send me a picture of how much the tyre 'bulge' @correct calibration as well as how far they can get the motor brake away from the tyre when 'engaged'?. Or someone in CT/Western Cape that would be willing to allow a visit from me and my Tacx 'rig' - just to do a sanity check please... g
bmw1za Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 But its a free download. The download is no problem ... I don't have a licence key for ver 4
Harryn Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 The download is no problem ... I don't have a licence key for ver 4 I'm surprised that you need one if you have paid for ver 3
straatvark Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Ok, seems the additional T1946/110V sticker on it is an indictor of the issue. Another motor swap by courier in progress... (thanks Coolheat).... touch wood, might be joining you next week then.
Andymann Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 As a matter of interest, has anyone done a "seeding index" between Actual and Virtual rides done on the road with a GPS, and the same ride done on the IDT with the GPS file? I seem to be getting about a 25% constant difference where the IDT is faster at identical distance points. It doesn't bug me, I was just curious if that's about the norm.
bmw1za Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I'm surprised that you need one if you have paid for ver 3 Do you think the Ver 3 Valid Key I have will work on ver 4? You got me thinking hard now.
