yeti SB 75 or the 2014 Nomad.

both are going to cost you a kidney though and the nomad is only available in SA as from the end of august at soonest( i know i have contacted several shops and mailed SC head office to ask.)

personally would go for the 27.5/650b whatever you want to call it, nomad.

its a complete redesign and shares almost no parts with its predecessor apart from its name.

the SB 75 has been around a while longer and is fantastic to ride. does feel a little unstable at low speed like its baby brother the 66 due to the very long top tube. this basically means the faster you go the better and more stable the ride.

not to discount any of the others mentioned but if it was my money thats where i would play.

The Nomad is looking like a good option - ONLY 1 Issue - the 65 deg head angle ... IMO it may be too slack for general SA trails ... we dont have Alpine elevation unless we go to Lesotho ...

Even in Karkloof it is not warranted ... I mean - My Fury had a 65 deg headangle and that was my DH rig ...

SO the Bronson - 150mm travel - 67 deg head angle - but then there are already like 5 in PMB alone ...

GRRR .... ... The search and thinking will continue - that Cube Stereo 160 looks cool though colour scheme wise ... but I dont know if you can get it into SA

Also will likely cause you to morgage your house

Not to criticize, but these are 2 completely different rides, SB75 is probably somewhere between a 5010 and Bronson, whereas a Nomad is an almost downhill bike that you can pedal up.

How much is the Nomad going to be out of curiosity?

Agree 100% with you .... it is as if everyone in SA has gone bosb#fock over HA in and if the HA is not slacker than a drunken sailor slumped over pavement in the early hours of the morning after a drunken binge session at a seedy Thai bar, then the bike is just not going to cut it on a tech trail ....

HAHAHA - Yeah exactly - My Force with a 69 deg head angle is more than capable on most trails here in SA ...

I would say that 67 is the sweet spot for SA trail bikes .... any slacker will just be crap if the trail is not a DH trail
