Sorry for digging up this old thread gents. I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. I'm fortunate enough to already have some rad components (160mm Pike, Spike28 650b wheels, Shimano 1x10), but I just can't figure out which frame to bolt all this #Enduro sweetness to. Unfortunately I do need a seatpost.

At the moment I'm toying with 3 options.

1. 2015 Pyga Pascoe. Roughly 25k with Monarch+ and dropper post.

2. Specialized Stumpjumper Evo. 26k with dropper. Carbon front triangle. Fox Factory CTD rear shock.

3. Santa Cruz Bronson. About 25k for the alloy version. Think it comes with the average float CTD shock.

Any thoughts and opinions? I enjoy the more gnarly side of trail riding, but don't mind the odd marathon ride(Tru-Cape, Gravel Travel, Die Burger Mtb).

I'm 188cm tall, so right on the line between L and XL. As you can prob tell, my budget is in the 25k region.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

We can help you with a Demo Spitfire XL, black.

Speak to Lance, Nick, Iwan Kemp or Andrew Savage from Stoke for "local" rider impressions.

We also have new XL Patrols in stock: Orange or Black. Cobus Esterhuyse & Maya have just taken delivery of theirs if you want to check out the bike in the flesh. PM me for more info.

Those Banshee's look pretty good.

Looks like Dial'd Bikes also have the new Commencal Meta range frames on their web page.

Andrew Savage being MoreTrails and Maya being Capricorn, for their hub names :)

Hahaha ahh there I was thinking I was being helpful by narrowing choices, only for my options to get blown WIDE open again! :)

It's not that difficult:

Support the awesome local brand,

Go for the awesome cult brands,

Or go mainstream....:)

I rode a Banshee Spitfire on the demo day A-line had at Jonkershoek end of last year. Awesome bike. They paired it with a 160mm Pike & CC inline double barrel,  Sram X1 & Reverb.
