The commentators refer to Adam Hansen as a break away specialist. I struggle to come up with a list of break away specialists of my own ( of current riders anyway).Thomas Voeckler, Sylvain Chavanel, ?????

Thinking back a few years Jackie Durand, Thomas Dekker, Magnus Backstedt ????

Who stands out as the greatest in this discipline, Mercks did it quite a bit although he was happy to take it on in the sprints too.

Omw what climbs, I have never seen professional cyclists struggle, super humans no doubt,

22% climbs, do we have climbs at that rate in the western cape, I'm sorry I can't relate to such gradients.

I hope the Mafia gets involved in sorting out that moron of a fan! I hope this initiates changes to the drunken fans having free access to sportsmen. I hope he also sues the fan for assault.

Wrong area in Italy for mafia to get involved. Lets just say if this was in Sicili and it was Nibali that fan would have been taken care of before he realized what he did

The mafia are all over Italy. Different groups control different areas and/or industries. For example, the Camorra are dominant around the Naples/Salerno (Campania) area and control the usual drugs, prostitution and human trafficking, as well as waste disposal and sanitation. They are also involved in agriculture and control the Italian buffalo mozzarella industry. A scandal broke in 2008 when it was discovered that the Camorra had buried industrial waste from Milan on buffalo farms in Campania. This led to dioxin in Italian buffalo mozzarella. Dioxin is the active ingredient of DDT. The latest mafia capo to squeal alleges that the Camorra have buried German nuclear waste in Campania. They are well represented in central and northern Italy.

The Cosa Nostra are in Sicily, the 'Ngrangheta in Calabria, etc. Apart from these well known groups there are many smaller regional groups.

True! I am currently busy reading the book Camorra. Sheds a lot of lite on the fashion industry as well as weapon trade world wide. a bit different than most people think it works. Visited the Naples area about 3 weeks ago and it is fascinating going through the area they speak of in the book
