Jakkals. Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 The peloton are picking their way through the hail on the road. The roads will be pretty slick now and they've knocked the pace off a little bit. There's been enough crashes during this Giro d'Italia.

The final climp to the Oropa Sanctuary – which doubles as a shrine to Pantani’s wildest memories – is a more steady affair but should provide a tactical finish, the climb’s 6% gradients are steep enough to get away but also enough to ride so fast that those who collaborate can share the work to ride away.

He’s got a bit of a target on his back now - his rivals are going to go after him this weekend. They should want to do it now before he's got a chance to be at 100% again.
TALUS Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Today is a BIG day. We will see whether Quickstep can control a race like the Skyborgs from last year. I am setting my spinning bike up with a compact crank for today... Ha- Ha. Bulls already won, now for Quintana hanging tough (to be in contention later) and Uran to show composure and leadership. Cadel at 2min back will make for animated riding over the next week. Could be a great sporting weekend.
