Hi

so i tried wearing my airline socks after a ride and hey presto compression socks seems to aid recovery quite a bit.

So a couple of questions:

Can you get compression garments that go all the way up to your upper legs - or are these tights?

If so which brands are best, as i think i want to try some.

But i want something atht will provide compression for the upper thighs as well.

2XU and Under Armour are about the best. Price for a pair of full leggings is close to 1k. I had First Ascent calf leggings and those stretch after awhile. With the UA they are split into Heatgear nd Coldgear for different temperatures management. Sportsmans has both brands.

The garments that fit "you" are the best to go for. I have tried, LineBreak, Skins, 2XU and a few others. for me Skins fit the best. as in all cycling things what works for one does not necessarily work you you. try them all on and buy the ones that fit.

As in all cycling purchases we are very happy to buy wheels for R20k, shoes for R3k but not compression pants for R1k..., its all about the visibility, your friends can see the R20k wheels and it impresses them, but not your compression pants....they just look wierd...
