True Holy' date=' he rests on sundays because of the Colnago!

To explain the relevance of a Colnago in a heathen world, one must fully understand the importance of the Creation itself! It, like Colnago was divinly inspired![/quote']

Hey Greyowl, sounds like you are regretting buying the Pinarello Dogma?

ewep that bike can be painted black and smothered with the biggest load of crap under the sun and it will still be a COLNAGO. Even though I ride a top of the range carbon bike I still have a love for the Italian brand of bike that has stood the tast of time. It stays class.

CAADMAN, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maseretti, Colnago, Pinarello...its all the same! Pure class bud!

People love you because you drive/ride something so extremely cool!!

EWEP...Whats it like' date=' knowing that as a Colnago owner, you are more superior than any other bikey?!
It matters not how fast you climb, or how far you can ride...at the end of the day, you own a Colnago.
And a damn fine Colnago at that.
I salute you...[/quote']

GO, it's the BEST feeling, pitching up at a ride, knowing my bike was handmade, in an Italian factory steeped in tradition, on 1 "assembly line" and then given the approval by adding Ernesto's signature.  Then sitting on the bike, knowing it was handpainted (no robots invoved!) and that my bike is number 576.  EISH, it's like owning a Bentley.  If you don't have one, you won't know what a masterpiece it REALLY is!

Just like it's owner...a true masterpieceWink

Ok...watch this. (I'm sorry EWEP' date=' not trying a hijack, just proving a Colnago point)

This is genuine, so treat it as such please!
I have a Colnago C35 frame & fork 56cm. Never ridden, or even built up. It is Ferrari red, with the official Ferrari decals. Its a display piece in my house.
I am considering selling it, albeit is a very VERY rare Colnago.
Any offers? (Genuine!)[/quote']

GRRRRRRRR a Colnago Ferrari - i'm very tempted here but, alas the bank manager would have me arrested.

I cannot believe you have not ridden it yet. Only seen 1 when they were first brought into SA by Alan Van Heerden.

You got to build it up and at least ride it once.

DON'T SELL IT!  It's a thing of beauty, a work of art, to be admired and treasured. JUST YOU DON'T!!  (or you could just give it to me if you're done with it)LOL

GO, now you making me think of 3rd, 4th and 5th bonds!!!!  That bike is a work of art, a classic.  It should be built up with Campy Record (only the best) and then ridden on a Hub ride, just to show off!

EWEP, I was considering building it with Record. But which Record? I'd love to put C-Record Delta calipers on it...but they are so scarce. But I also dont want to mix n match the groupset.

I dont have my digital camera on me now, but I'll snap some pics and post them!

there are three of them! maybe ewep and grey owl can each grab a pigtail after clubbing her over the head?

Colnago's I'll fight for...no clubbing of women for me!! I'll never hear the end of it if I did!! "Did you have to hit me so hard?"

Or "You could have tried harder"

Colnagos never complain...they sit in revered silence.

I would build it with the latest and greatest Record, nice Hypron Ultra wheels and ITM stem bars.  Nothing should be put on that bike that's non-Italian!!!

I was thinking...

Record C-Record Delta (available only in 8speed!)

ITM bar & stem

Campagnolo Shamal Titanium 12spokes(the silver wheels)

Rolls Saddle

All this just to keep it retro and beautifull. The old CAMPAGNOLO stuff just looks so classy!

But the new stuff would look wicked on it too!!

But, until the day comes I guess it will just sit on display...
