Hay guys, I've recently been looking at the Cube Acid 29er Hardtail bike and I was wandering if anyone can tell how good of a bike it is compared to the Specialised Rockhopper 29 and which one would be the better buy, Thanks!

Crap. Get a Bianchi

Wow excellent insight for a new guy to follow.

Anyway.

Just check the specs of the 2 bikes you have in mind, the one with the best components wins!

Its not always abt components. I switched from canondalen to an orbea (road bike) many yrs ago and basically stopped riding due to the orbea geometries not suiting my built. Different makes have slightly different geometries which can make a huge difference. Also stupid things eg can it take proper bottle cages can make a difference (GT bikes)

Cube isn't a large brand in SA, I can tell you the Germans love them. Seen plenty of them in Berlin, there's even a bike shop that stocks everything Cube, from bikes to clothes to accessories accross the road from the hotel I stay in.

That aside, as mentioned, the bike needs to fit you properly, also which bike would make you ride more? At the end of the day, we all ride Giants, they're just branded with different names.....

Both are great bikes. If you want to stand our from the crowd, get the Cube.

I owned a Cube HPC carbon hardtail.

One of the top 3 bikes i've owned (out of 20 something - don't tell my wife...)

The cool thing with Cube is that each size is tuned for it's size (if that makes sense) - they explain how that works on their website.

+ The best finished bike i ever owned.

- Parts (like hangers etc) stock not always available.

Good Luck
