I have used the plain polar fleece gloves from Cape Union Mart for years, for MTB as well as road riding. They aren't waterproof but are far and away the best gloves i have had. Cheap as chips, comfortable, wind proof, thin and warm. R 220-00 per set.

Don't get something too thick or something that the liners come out of as you will struggle endlessly with them.

Im using First Ascent but they get soaked in the rain. Any suggestions as well for decent gloves when riding in the wet.

Assos Wet weather neoprene gloves.

Motocross gloves have worked great for me. Mtb. Tight and warm. Look funny on the road but it's for comfort not style...

Is there anybody here that use the Defeet gloves for MTB'ing.

Just wondering if the lack of padding makes any difference when going off road

Got some Seal Skins for running, still need to try them out but GP isn't a winter rain fall area so doubt I will get a chance soon.
