I have also always had a low blood pressure, never hiccuped even when I was pregnant. Over the last year id noticed some tightness in my chest especially after training...so I went to see the doc....after three visits everything is fine....could not find anything thing wrong with my heart. I'm panicking because mom had a valve replacement and dad has just had a stent put in so family history has me on high alert. Long story short, two weeks ago I'm riding with a friend standing in the saddle pushing hills hard together. I'm breathing hard, thinking boy... I need to get fitter. When we got to the top of the hill my friend pointed out to me that I am wheezing. A few days later, with my Asthavent pump I feel like a new person......My point...don't ignore any symptoms they could be serious or minor .....but ignorance is foolishness.

Hey Tinei

All those years studying medicine count for nothing here on the hub

Not taking a dig at you, but I guess you also believe this?

The hypothesis that eating saturated fats can increase cholesterol levels which in turn can cause heart attacks is widely accepted by the medical community.”

Not sure what you mean, but I'm not the fastest gun so it might be just me!

Sorry for the slight :offtopic: question here, but what is the correct way to measure your resting HR?

I was told to put a HRM on once i wake up then climb back into bed and just lie there for about 15min trying to doze off again. the lowest reading is then my Resting HR. If this is correct my Resting HR is 26BPM. Surely i am doing something wrong.
