In my defense there is a bit of a gray area in our argeement - see I promised not to buy MYSELF anything related to cycling, PCs guitars or cars from the wedding fund... We have also been donated a Helmit a polar and some other goodies by pop's mysterious admirer TS Thanks TS so the nubile Fanie Fiets is going to collect the parcel for us and deliver to BMC for us tomorrow. BMC fan has sent the bike plus a parcel containing some goodies and a helmit kindly donated by one It will be in langebaan tonite and I will collect tomorrow morning and then check the bike over put on the pedals then handover the bike tomorrow evening. its taken a bit long to get it from capetown i am afraid but things are on the move. i have also purchased a new pair of cleats for the pedals as well as two spare tubes We will make the arrangments to take bonnie for a pair of shoes and whatever else will be needed. Then it will be some afternoon rides just to make sure that she has the feel for the gears ect ect. I am rather excited to see her face when she sees the bike . from the pics and what SP told me it is in excellent condition. With all the *** we have going on i this country, i am always amazed at how deep us sefricans can dig into our pockets for a charitable cause. Imagine if everyone in this country lived with the same attitude in our day to day lives. This would be the greatest country on earth to live in.I am almost left with a lump in my throat, thinking about the reaction when she gets her bike. You and the guys and girls on this Hub absolutly rock!!!! I think as an idea we should look for more charitable causes, especially people who want / need bikes and cannot afford them. I'm sure when we consider all the unused cycling related equipment that must be lying around in our garages, we could make a lot of people very happy.
