Would it be fair comparing Thaba Trails blue loops to hakahana? Looking for a place to do a prep ride this weekend?

Thaba hills are shorter but probably meaner. Would be awesome preparation IMO.

No, just wondering. Marathon starts at 7:30, half starts at 9:12 and half finisher is expected at 10:20 .... ek gaan moet gatskoonmaak :o

Jammer man ek't die start tye verander, en toe nie die expected time geupdate na die tyd nie...sorry.

uncertain between the marathon and half marathon. not sure i have trained enough for the marathon and it will also be my first time at hakahana.

maybe i should just settle on the half as a first-timer to hakahana.

did a couple of blue loops at thaba this weekend and had to walk 1 or 2 technical parts.

Hey Grant. All i can say is we have done hours and hours of prep to make both the 70 (65) and 40 (37) hugely enjoyable rides. Although the 40 has been 'softened' a bit it is still a good challenge with loads of singletrack. The 70 is a meneer but worth the effort...

hey! My first marathon was dulstroom after only 6 months of riding, at one point I thought I was gonna die, hill after hill; took me 6 hours but I finished, was awesome! they only way to start the marathon is to jump in the deep-end.... and so what if u walk... pros have walked once upon a time...
