Any other hubbers heading for Knysna this weekend? Really looking forward to this one.

Looks like the weather will hold up  just might be a bit cold though

Some thoughts on the Knysna 200.

I expected it to be easier... Day 1 and Day 2 was much tougher than I anticipated - on the whole the climbing is comparable to something like W2W.

Being a smaller race without a proper race village and falling outside something like the Oyster Festival, the race lacked a bit of atmosphere for me. That said, not having to queue for food & toilets and riding the more technical sections at your own pace without having to contend with crowds of egos & varying skills a big plus.

Free beer at the finish line...

I really loved this event. Small crowds, great riding, tough and rewarding. No lines for food , ST, toilets etc. It was a great 3 days of riding in a awesome part of our country.

Well done to all involved.

And Free beer

Day 3 was awesome with great single track through Harkerville Forest. I like the idea of the Enduro sections and the Tread Buffalo category. Gives more riders a chance of some glory.

Don't like the idea of not having showers at the finish and having to collect your car from the start each day.

Day one was probably the worst day of cycling I have had in a long time - technicals, cramping, mud and cold. By day three all was great - except my partner had a bad fall at 30km/h 800m from the finish...
