Audax - Pro-Cycles Benoni - 22 June 2014

The next one on the list is this coming Sunday starting from Pro-Cycle Benoni http://audaxsa.co.za/schedule/

 

There is a 100 and 200 on the cards. Seems like the 200 route is out to Heidelberg and Dasville and then back.

 

So who's doing it?

 

I've always wanted to do one, but haven't had the chance yet.

On my doorstep, so considering it - am a bit gatvol of cold AND windy weather, so will 1st see what the weather holds before I enter

One site says min -1 (but about 4 at 7am) and max 18 degrees and a 5km/h wind. I have to drive there from Emmarentia so it adds to the early wake-up.

That DAMN loop - hate it with gusto. It's SO EASY just to turn left towards Pro Cycles.

I'm looking at the route sheet, and it's a little different to the strava route posted.

The loop in Benoni is only done at the start, and not at the finish. Rather, coming back from Dusville, we skip the Boschkop short cut, and take a longer route back to the R549.

Route is the same as last year. The route to Dasville is retraced back home
