Did my first one last lear, was awesome!

Don't think I'm doing this years one though, which is a good thing, because I'm not nearly fit enough.

I am in! I've done it before and it is lots of fun.

Nice one - Yeah, 4 of us going and three have done it before so got me onto it. My fitness is not totally up to speed but running every day till the event to try make up... Just gonna have fun with it and start at the back to keep out of the pro's way!

Yes... But what they don't tell you is that where the shuttle drops you off for the stage starts, there is still a nice uphill trek to get the heart rate up.

Also, you are giving it your all the whole way down - no nice long jeep tracks to catch your breath, so you K*k baksteene if you are not fit.

Running will def help, and its still a blast even if you're unfit.

Is it do able on a downhill bike? I thought it was all downhill. Not sure which bike to use

Dirk came 3rd on his KTM DH bike last year.

There is a lot of peddling so a 120-150mm bike would be perfect

DH bike is cool if you just going to have fun though but it is not needed for any of the trails.

It is going to rock this year. 100 entries, 3 trucks and plenty of awesome trail to play on. I am super amped this year. Got my priorities right this year. Using World Master Marathons as a training ride for Avalanche. Avalanche is my bestestestestest race. see you guys there..

+-7km as far as I know. Reckon I'll be hanging around the back too. My lard ass is a bit unfit. Still gonna push as hard as possible though!!
