just hope the weather plays along. Long its gonna be, as my training took a back seat due to weather(more lazyness) and flu. Hope to do last years time.

It is crazy hot today. I am in Simons Town and it must be about 32. How did you do last year? I will be going for 7 hours this year. Think I got a 5 something last year.

Hi I road a 5:30. Stopped at all the wpoints except the 1st one. Used it as a training ride for the K2C. It worked as I did a 4:31 with a 7 min delay. :w00t:

Why so much slower? The single speed?

I'm hoping for sub 5, I have a bet on for dinner if I can pull it off, so I'm gonna need some good wheels to follow!!!

Yeah. Don't get much speed on the flats with that thing and that race is pretty flat. Spin out at about 24kms. Might not be so bad with a 34 up front but we will see. Was looking for last years results to see what time I did but can't find them. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

I need to get some training on that bike as I am doing W2W on it.

He is riding with meeee that's why  So excited. Was sick for the last 2 days and now I am back and missing my bikes so much!

What a gentleman, and he is blaming it all on the bike ^_^ . Not a race I would want to do on a single speed (not that there is any race I would want to do on a single speed....)

If you start fast enough you are sure to find a nice little group to pull you. Good luck

Anyone done the 40km trail before. My wife is a beginner and the nerves are starting to eat at her. She is not technically sound, but can push her bike over an large object. :whistling:
