Got some FOX bibs recently.

The chamois looks and feel a lot like those in the Assos UNO Bib.

(The shop says it's the same . . I don't know)

(Not sure if Assos still make the UNO)

Very comfy and it cost about R700 compared to R10000000000 for a Assos.

Not sure if it will last as good as an Assos. The Lycra quality is not as good.

WHERE did you find the Assos at that price??? I'll take THREE

For the last 2 years I've been using the Mavic Bibs. Got 3 of them and they are really comfortable. Think next time I'll def go buy some more. The padding is awesome I've done some long rides without chamios cream and had no pain or sand paper effect. "Crack Friendly"

Ha ha...if you want people to see your crack after a year get Assos...

You're washing it with a softner and drying it in a tumble-dryer right?

Thanks for all the advice guys! I saw Assos at cycle lab, almost feinted when I saw the price - R 4,999 for bib shorts!!!!!? My main problem is that I must buy 3 of everything for a multi stage race, so they definitely too expensive.

Will look at the craft and specialised shorts as mentioned. Think saddle time and the correct saddle is the key!

I have found Fox to also be very good and really affordable. My Nalini bibs are really tops though

Nalini is also available in Cape Town!

Bike plus in Constantia, EvoBikes Complete Cyclist Hout Bay and William's in Somerset west.

Cheers
