Tromp Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 All I can say is yes its now rideable to all people but as we all asked ever so nicely was to try leave it a little technical as this was why we loved Kings Kloof,.Is it Queen's Kloof now ?
Borborygmi Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I just think it is stupid asking for suggestions and then going into the total opposite of what we liked about Kings in the first place. Will have to go ride it first before I give a final judgment though. @ Hero - any indication on when it would be open?
RocknRolla Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 also wanna know when it will be open.Heard november/december rumours. Will wait to check it out before making judgement. I only hope that whatever has been observed was mainly for the Silverstar race, and that there is still work to be done there.
Paarl Adventure Trails Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Kings Kloof – A No Go !! After a couple of months of planning , work and great excitement it is very disappointing for us to announce that Hero Adventure will no longer be taking over the Kings Kloof trails We have been working with some members of the trust for a couple of months after been asked to consider taking over the trails , Hero Adventure were informed that we could go ahead and get preparations for opening done . Unfortunately in the last 3 weeks we were informed that some members of the trust were against the agreement and even after a number of attempts to convince them of the benefits and host of other positive impacts the park would have, we were informed this week that not all members approved the initial agreement and thus we could no longer continue. It is very disappointing for us but unfortunately out of our hands The team at Hero are busy with a number of other planned projects, and there are some exciting additions on the way. We look forward to providing many more great places to experience what Hero Adventure offer.
dalem44 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Will kings kloof go back to being managed by the original bunch or is it going to be closed down?

Dorpie Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Numerous attempts to contact the guys from Hero and Darren Herbst but no answer.would like to know who is the "TRUST"
Guest notmyname Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 The Rose farm is one of my customers. I'll ask questions when I'm there next week.
Dorpie Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 On my outride yesterday we stopped at the padstal outside kings and when I told the lady working there that we would like to pass through she didnt even bat an eyelid. The paths are growing over and there are trees that have fallen in the path. Who would be keen to do some simple cleaning up of what is left to ride?
Borborygmi Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I would help at Kings! I work on half the weekends but could definitely dedicate some Saturdays there!
Ampandy Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Lost touch of Kings when I moved out the area, hey maybe it's time to get back into touch, but will be a toss up between technical courses at thaba or Kings. So upgrade your courses and impress Joe public.

Unless you have explicit permission from the property owners to access Kings Kloof, you should not be riding there. If you ride there without permission, you are trespassing and could be arrested. Rogue riding on private property is piss poor form and makes life difficult for riders who respect land owners' rights. The lady at the padstal is not the owner of that property, so claiming she gave you permission is no excuse.
Guest notmyname Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 On my way home from gravel grinding at breedts on Saturday, I notice about 10 high end SUVS of various persuasion all sporting bike racks parked at the KK parking. Anyone know if the trails are cool to ride. I no longer have a connection at the rose farm.
