Strava 130km Gran Fondo in CT

Hello ~~ im in CT and wanna do 130km Gran Fondo

 

My route will be like this 'plumstead - cape point - black hill - chapmans - camps bay - chapmans - black hill - (simons town) - plumstead... I hope it could be 130km..

 

anyone has a good idea for me if u have please let me know

Gran Fondo opens every month. So you've got the whole month to do a 130km ride (must be under 24h). Complete the Challenge and you will unlock the ability to purchase a limited edition Gran Fondo Jersey!

This month's jersey colour is bright yellow (made one looks like a TDF GC winner from a distance), but comes with a rather steep price-tag....

One day I wanna do but im afraid of SA tax.. tax for any cloth is 45%...

If you want to make sure you get a 130Km ride, use the mapping option on Strava and plot your route.

 

I do the Gran Fondo every month but never bother about the jersey - price tag is a little steep and with the added income tax, becomes rediculous... Not that the exchange rate is helping much either.

In my case, I just get the required distance, earn the badge and that's the end.

 

Their shipping cost to ZA were also a bit ludicrous (fixed rate of USD40, regardless on the item of purchase) & subsequently I'd not brought anything from them...

I like the jersey but I will not buy it bec it is way to expansive to import it hahaha

It's a cool bit of social media to keep the endurance levels up in winter, once a month.
