A tip...

You can use a CO2 inflator to pump the shock. Just very gently, preferably the type that has the turn valve.

I've rescued a few riders doing this.

Did try this but didnt work maybe i was just doing it wrong maybe need to replace my Cannisters !

Feedback from LBS

I have examined the bike and my findings are as such,

Frame:

Apart from surface scratches, it seems fine and rides normal/ aligned

I suggest a xray be done for internal strain due to the nature of the accident

Saddle:

Damaged, must be replaced

Front wheel:

Rim is buckled, must be replaced.

Bar ends:

Damaged, must be replaced.

Gears:

Are not selecting well, Adjustment required.

Costs:

Assessment:- R 250-00

Parts:- R 900-00 (Rim, bar ends and saddle)

Labour:- R 320-00 ( rebuild front wheel and set gears)

New bike:- R 12 995-00 ( importer does import frame only ) if cracks are uncovered if x ray permitted

Need to submit to insurance now and await feedback.

We waiting for them photos. But if frame not damaged you got away pretty lucky . Most people will tell you that removing bar ends is a positive thing

I've also had the my bike fall off the rack doing about 120km/h on the N2, luckily it was strapped to my mate's bike so it just scraped along the road for a bit, only saddle, right brake lever and lockout damaged. Insurance covered it no problem
