can you guys pls stop posting on this, I need to work and find myself thinking about what you guys post! And now you are talking about an excuse for another bike, a tourer maybe.

do you have links for one maybe?

I went titanium for my Audax / sportive / grand fondo bike with this guy in UK:

www.burls.co.uk

Got the frame and fork and William built it up for me. There's a few Ti frames you can get here now - Van Nicholas is probably one of the better/best ones. I think they may import Lynskey now and poss one or two others.

Big fan of Titanium - but will have to see when RAAM decision time comes. I suspect what I'm missing is a properly aero TT bike, and a lightweight endurance racer. Carbon will be an easier to source option e.g. Giant Defy or Bianchi Infinito CV - assuming Infinito cash of course for the Bianchi option ;)

Holly cow. One of the riders this year is a bit mad. Stéphane Mehdi Ouaja is going to ride on a fixie.

He has a flip-able hub so he will have 2 gear ratios 42x19 for uphill, 42x15 for downhill/flat.

Dunno about anyone else but I find the idea of going back 100 years in technology a bit silly.

The guy finished in 13rd place, do you still find it silly. Back to basics !
