Has anyone else had a less than satisfactory experience with ordering photos from actionphoto.net?

The first 2 times I tried to find my Argus pictures the site crashed when I clicked on the search button after entereing my race number.

That seems to have been sorted out.

When I eventually found my pictures and tried to order them via online credit card payment the site crashed again.

I then sent the email below to Actionphoto:

Hi guys<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

A bit of a moan here, but you really need to sort out your website and do some proper testing.

Almost every time that I?ve been on it I?ve had it bomb out with a lovely yellow .Net error message.

This morning I was trying to order some photos and it crashed when I submitted the credit card form. Not good. Has payment been processed or what?

I also included the entire detailed error message.

Here is the answer I got back:

Hi Werner

Our website is www.actionphoto.net

I was not pleased with the answer and sent this in reply:

If your website is actionphoto.net, why is there and exact copy available on the actionphoto.co.za?

Not that it?s really matters, since as soon as you click on checkout after selecting the photos you want, you are automatically forwarded to the actionphoto.net site.

Be that as it may, your answer did not address ANY of my concerns.  A one line response is simply not what I call client service. Especially so, considering that the issue involves the security of credit card information.

(yes I know I made a spelling mistake).

I tried the entire process again today and still the exact same error occurs.

So has anyone else had problems or is my case an isolated incident?

I had issues using my credit card to buy photos. Their payment processor tries to do some fancy credit card validation and then cancels my transaction. I don't have a problem anywhere else, and i use my card often to buy stuff over the net. Their loss.

I'm not disputing the quality of the pics. It's a hard thing taking photgraphs of moving objects. Doing so when there is more than one? I respect the work these guys do so we have some pics to remember the big day.

What I'm unhappy about is that I can't get a straight answer regarding the credit card payment issue.

I think the problem lies in the fact that they outsource the payment processing to another company, so they probably have to go through several channels to get an answer.

The outsorcing part I know is true. But here is the error:

As I'm a web developer myself I can tell you that the gibberish above comes down to a database error on Actionphoto's side.

What I can't tell is whether the error occured before payment was processed or after.
