Old Phillips Bicycle | Do you know this bike?

I picked up this old bike recently. All info I got is that it's a Phillips bike which says "Made in England" on the handle bar.

 

According to Wikipedia by 1980's Phillips was bought over by Raleigh. Also I read recently that from 1920, by law, you had to inscribe "Made in (destination)" on your products. Before that you could just put "England" on it, for example.

 

So 1920 - 1980?

 

Does anyone have more knowledge about this specific bike and from what time period it is?

 

I'm toying with the idea of re-chroming the shiny bits and doing a full restoration. The bike is still in working condition - pumped up the tires and took it for a spin just after I got it and it felt good.

Phillips bikes were the staple bike brand in Zim, they were manufactured up until the mid 80's in india...

 

Its in good nick tho, good luck for the restoration...
