Odinson Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Hi, guys. Noob question here. I want to upgrade my current drivetrain. My current BB is a Shimano ES25 Octalink. Will my frame be able to accommodate the newer Shimano HollowTech BB's? I have a 2014 Specialized Camber 29 (base model). Thanks!
droo Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Yes, you'll just need to get the shell faced so the bearings run parallel otherwise they'll wear out sharpish.

The performance of the Octakink is surprisingly good, but HollowTech is the accepted standard nowadays.
