Any mtb races from 20 - 27 December in the Capetown area?

Doubt you will find any races on at that time of the year!

I would however plan to ride at least Welvanpas, which has easy enough to follow route markings, along with Jonkershoek and Tokia which you would probably want to familairise yourself with using some online maps or meeting a local to show you to the good spots, so that you don't have to spend the day on the mountain trying to track them down. Haven't ridden Meerendal yet, but other mates go there all the time and rave about it. How many days of riding can you sneak out of your week here?

I've never understood the love for Meerendal. It is average (in my humble opinion, and lots of mates who agree), although it has been improved recently. If you are going to head to 've norf' rather ride Contermans and Hoogekraal. Lots of smile miles on those two trails.

Have to agree. And the new starting point and facilities at Contermans are superb. Real shame that the members' corridor is closing at the end of the month.
