Advice on CRC delivery options

Hi

I need some advice when it comes to the delivery options with CRC.

I see there is the standard or DHL express delivery. What have you used and what would you recommend?

How long did your delivery take with the option you chose?

I've only ever used the "free above ~R2,800" option and never had a delay or issue. Normally a week.

Depends how quick you want the items? All work

 

If you not in a rush, then standard is fine, takes a while and I mean a while with the SAPO strike on at the moment it could be anything from 10 days to a month to arrive!!

 

With DHL make sure you give a physical address and is quicker.

 

I use standard as I often only buy on CRC when they have good sales and am therefore in no rush for the items as I buy for future upgrades or new builds.

My stuff was dispatched on the 30th.

Customs cleared the parcel yesterday.

i expect delivery to my door Friday.

i took the free delivery option.

A couple of weeks ago I took the free option and it took 4 working days. Delivered to my house.

 

This was during a time that the PO in Joberg was on strike so I had accepted I would have to wait weeks for it. Really surprised at how fast it was.

For the more expensive items I use DHL, it arrives in a few days and you know you'll get it.

 

As for the rest, I take my chances with the cheaper option.

Ordered last Monday - with parcelforce speedy force option, 12 or so pound more on standard and cheaper then DHL - sitting awaiting customs clearance since yesterday - the wait continues.
