Im 190 and some change, so prob going to need an XL, but would be good to get some first hand info. 1.88 & the thing is huge. Everyone who has seen and ridden it has said the same. It makes other large bikes look like BMXes. I have long legs as well and I only have the fixed part of the dropper set a couple of cm. I'm quite comfy pedaling with it like that and can get the power down. Perfect size for me.

I am 1.78m tall and I was thinking of going large with 40mm stem. You make it sound like it's going to be to big for me... Maybe a medium with a 40mm stem...

Then again, I might try and get a 35mm stem, and then it will be fine. Edit: and apparently my large is coming on the 17th November and is one of only two in this shipment

I have back ordered a medium for the next shipment, the shipment arriving on the 17th of November is sold out including the large I decided to cancel. The demand for the reign is INSANE!

Comparing the numbers between my large jekyll and the medium reign put my mind at easy as well. Reign:Toptube - 620mmWheelbase 1191mm Jekyll:Toptube - 614mmWheelbase - 1155mm I mentioned to the guys from dragons sports today that i will need it by first week in december and they were quite confident it wouldn't be an issue.
nolipoli Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 I have really had a hard time with the sizing question, because the Large is the same length as the Trance XL.One of the major reasons I have gone with it anyway is because of the seatpost extension issue which can be a problem for me on the Medium Giants. I had a Medium Reign X and the seatpost was proetty much at its maximum. Edit: But I will be going past the show tomorrow and will have a look at the medium they have there.
goatman Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Respectfully I think the ideal situation would be to test ride a demo bike.I can't imagine shelling out that kind of dough without test riding the Reign.The reality is that the projected market that Dragons had for this bike in SA may not have warranted a demo bike when they placed their initial orders....let's hope that will change in 2015!Looking at the geo. I'm 1.78 and the medium should fit just perfect.The TT measurement of the medium Reign is the same as the large Trance (which I have ridden and fits perfectly)

Id use my existing stem - 40mm - and have a little bit more room on the top tube, where at the moment I feel a bit cramped. I'm 1.8 tall and the only potential problem would be the standover height (same as you) but thats easily measured by checking the seat tube length..
