I often ask myself..."Just how did the cancer get there in the first place?!"

Good point.

Pro Wrestling does alright!!!
I mean' date=' its fake and you have to be blind not to see the drugs...[/quote']

Didn't Chris Benoit recently kill people in his family through paranoia etc. brought on by years of steroid abuse?

Yes he did and he was so obsesed with Roids he was found to be shooting his 11yr old kid up aswell. They found track marks on his forearms and substance in his body to prove it.

He also liked Crystal meth a little more than the average person too.

Kinda like Kelly Ryan and Craig Titus? Man that is one f**ked up story of note and they still havent gone to trial yet and I read lately that she is nailing and turning on him in a big way. Little skank ass HO!

I agree with Spidey. It's not thaaat hard to compete with the top guys here. Not that I'm saying it's easy to win either smiley36.gif

Ethics aside, doping to reach the top of SA cycling is a pretty stupid thing to do. You're never really going to make enough money as an SA pro to justify the financial and physical costs of the dope.

However, if you make it to the top of SA cycling and into a top European squad without the use of jungle juice, then there is probably good financial incentive to get yourself a good doctor and take yourself to the next level.

Cancer can afflict at any age, granted.

But the type of cancer Lance had, and the level of aggression could (I said could) be related to certain PED's.

But it could (like his athletic ability) have been an abberation of nature...

umm you are all saying that to make it to the top in Europe you need to be on something?

Does this mean team Barloworld is on some kinda performance enhancing system outisde of the traditional beer and boerewors before argus?

The biggest problem imo if doping ever gets legalized would be to retain sponsors. CSC' date=' Tmobile, Discovery all pulling out of cycling, some of them because they dont want their brand to be associated with dopers. Even if dope were allowed, some sponsors would still feel that pro cyclists are a bunch of dopeheads, and would not want to be associated with cycling.

2 very big & high profile teams are already looking for sponsors for 2009, looks like the pros are cheating themselves out of their salaries.

If they do legalize doping ? the pro-teams would be sponsored by pharmacies ?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Also, if it would be legal to dope it would be spectacular to watch on TV ? guys dropping off ? dead ? the back-up vehicles would be replaced by ambulances and burial entrepreneurs ?

One problem with the strict WADA rules is that e.g. if a cyclists crosses the finish line completely dehydrated ? the team cannot put him on a drip to recover quicker for next days race (TDF) ? which clearly would be more healthy than lying in a hot bath and stuffing their stomach with all kinds of pills.

Yes, everyone (except me and my partner) at Sani2C took them. If they were legal, we could take them too, and be able to keep up. That's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Drugs, social or performance enhancing have no place in our culture PERIOD!

Socially they eat away at the fabric of our society and destroy lives, on the sports front, not only are they dangerous to the athletes using them but thing of the reverse side, those that dont use performance enhancing drugs are robbed of their dreams.

They compete and train so hard but never reach the top becuase those that use are always better. The Hypocrite (athlete that uses drugs) will preach to you blind that u must believe in your dreams and train very hard and then you will get your goal - BULLSH!T

You train and do all the hard work but you never make it - why? cos they are lying to us, think of all of them - Erik Zabel, Jan Ullrich, Bjarne Riis, Marion Jones - etc etc -

WAKE UP! These people are stealing your (those that aspire) dreams away from you and lying to your faces and enjoying what could potentially be yours

Square the playing fields (but cleanly) and then lets compete!
