I'm not affiliated with Chain Reaction Cycles in any way.

Came across them for the first time while reading some threads on this forum and thought I'd give them a try. Needed a decent set of gloves and ordered a set on Tuesday evening around 10PM. I was flippen amazed when my gloves were delivered on Friday morning - less than 3 days from the UK to my door in SA!

Is this the norm for them in terms of delivery?

you should declare whether you used express delivery, priority or standard. the latter two rarely provide 3 day delivery times, especially with a strike running atm. I therefore guess you chose the delivery via DHL option.

So yes with DHL, Mon or Tues ordering and payment normally results in delivery by Friday. If DHL pulls finger. So you up north and round the corner from international arrivals, you are practically guaranteed 3 day service. Down here in the cape, the the DHL finger pulling is worth another 2 to 5 days, depending on their mood and the size of the finger.

I'm planning on using CRC soon. So if that is the delivery time, I'm impressed.

How was the import tax / duties on your order?

I bought pedals&garmin. I paid 14% tax (maybe;;)

I bought Rapha I paid 45% tax.

Dont buy any fabric stuff. Hahaha

good for you Berry: they pulled finger.  My experiences have been very mixed with them. And it all came down to sheer laziness. Have endless emails between myself and the bigchief of DHL south africa. But happy for you. clap.
