one of the most treatable cancers if caught early enough.

Armstrong tweet done and dusted, I am wondering how long before the 'guru's" on twitter start on the "PED's cause testicular cancer" angle...

I kinda believe suspect they do, but I don't have the expertise nor the evidence, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.

I feel very sorry for Basso. If, hypothetically, the cancer was caused by PEDs, in my mind, he is a victim of doping culture of the 90's/00's. This is the biggest reason that the authorities need to continue to fight doping: the long term health risks to the athletes.

...

Contador was sitting next to Basso in the press conference and broke down in tears when the news was announced.

He later tweeted: “Hard day. @ivanbasso have discovered a serious health problem. I'm sure everything will be fine. Dee you in Paris!”

Tinkoff-Saxo sports director Steven de Jongh added: “We will try to meet Ivan in Paris with the yellow jersey." ...

Real men with genuine feelings of concern and care for their team mate/fellow man. Let's follow this example instead of being preemptive and judgemental. It's a cancer that can affect any man.

HGH will aid in growth when there is already a tumour in your body, but be the cause of cancer? I seriously doubt it. It's something that is naturally occuring in your body.

If that be the case, as almost all riders were using there should be a lot more cases coming up.

So someone is thought to have hacked Froome's files and posted a video and data of his Ventoux climb.. and Sky aren't happy and lawyers have been consulted. .. the video has already been removed, but not before getting a lot of attention.

I just don't understand why sky don't just release the stupid data, the more they insist on keeping it hush hush the more people will suspect that they are hiding something.

Today is the day when the 'real' TDF really begins.

MOUNTAINS BABY!

This second week has to be the time when those who've lost time must attack to make some of it back. The big names will be marked, so I don't really expect big attacks from Nibali / Quintana to stick this week. They'll most likely keep their powder dry for the really big stuff in week 3, especially the final 2 days in the mountains. That's still a long time away.

No, what I predict is attacks from the 2nd tier GC climbers, especially the youngsters like the Yates brothers, Pinot, Bardet, Barguil and Meintjes. This is when they must go, they can't wait to week 3 when the big boychees are really going to start duking it out. This second week is where they'll have an opportunity to attack and be given a long leash by the big names to get away a little bit while they save their legs for the decisive final week.

Today's summit finish is a perfect launch pad for a youngster to make a name for himself, especially a young Frenchie. Because it's Bastille Day after all. Huge French national pride at stake here. So my prediction is either Pinot, Bardet or Barguil for the win.

Here's a look at that big HC climb to the finish today. 15.3 km climb @ 7.4%:

My thoughts as well, why all the secrecy surrounding rider performance stats

This is the closest I could find to what was in the video... sky have sommer had the video removed and the guys twitter account shut.post-39623-1436854777,4668.jpg

OK, looking at the time deficits again, Barguil will probably be too tightly marked as well, so might not be able to get away. Pierre Rolland looks like a good bet for a candidate to storm the Bastille today, since he's nearly 12 minutes down.

The Yates brothers are far enough down that the peloton will let them go if they want to attack, so also good candidates.

Meintjes could have a go. He's way down in 173 position, 54 min down.

Any case. . US postal ag I mean sky will use their strong arm tactics nd that file will never see the light of day again..

So back to today.. I reckon quintanna and bert have no choice but to try start eat away at that time gap. Little by little.

Oopsie daisy. Another storm brewing in the Sky.

(lame pun, I know [emoji14] )

They apparently also found a photographer hiding in the bush to hope to sneak pics of Froome sneaking into Brailsford's camper to go sleep there. [emoji85]

Apparently sky have 30 vehicles clogging up the parking areas.. why do they need 30.. it's a bit overkill no?

Now the video that was taken down had the data synchronised to it.. watts, speed and heart rate.
