They apparently also found a photographer hiding in the bush to hope to sneak pics of Froome sneaking into Brailsford's camper to go sleep there. [emoji85]

Apparently sky have 30 vehicles clogging up the parking areas.. why do they need 30.. it's a bit overkill no?

Yikes, you really don't like Sky

Hey I am just commenting on what's been going on. It's info that is out there, I am not making it up. Rest days always bring out some sort of drama to the tour.[emoji111]

seems there's a reason why a dogma costs the same as a motorbike

mechanical doping can only explain increase in power and speed little effect on HR

Now the video that was taken down had the data synchronised to it.. watts, speed and heart rate.

I know, I was just marvelling at the speed with which Froome accelerated away from Contador. Doping or not (I would like to believe not) it was quite sensational.

Wait for that expaht, the skinny kid with cowboy-hat avatar. He'll tell us exactly how it works.

You mean this guy? Wyatt that you??

I wont write off NIBS until after those stages with major descents and then a small climb (there is 2, maybe 3). He will descend like the devil and smash it up the final climb.

OK, looking at the time deficits again, Barguil will probably be too tightly marked as well, so might not be able to get away. Pierre Rolland looks like a good bet for a candidate to storm the Bastille today, since he's nearly 12 minutes down.

The Yates brothers are far enough down that the peloton will let them go if they want to attack, so also good candidates.

Meintjes could have a go. He's way down in 173 position, 54 min down.

I think Meintjes will have his day on Saturday... Mandela day

Or maybe another rider from MTN-Qhubeka.

Good point. Could see that happening.

I am a bit disappointed in Meintjies.  I thought at least he would be lying around position 20 - 30 at this stage of the tour.  How could he have lost so much time on what seems to be almost flat stages?

My thoughts exactly, the TDF might just be harder than expected.

Edit: for him that is. (We'll find it impossible)

Or operating around the point of inflection of a power-HR curve (Conconi test)?

Ja it's one thing being able to ride with the best in a 1 day race but something entirely different trying to get into the right position and stick with the best in a Grand Tour, especially the TDF. The pace is just so high getting to the climbs.

I think if anything it will be a learning curve for the youngsters, would actually love to see Kudus have a go at some point.
