Cav' Posted July 6, 2015 Share I would also like Kwiatkowski so take it (or Degenkolb but he'll struggle a bit in the Mur de Huy ) Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/144285-2015-tour-de-france/page/29/#findComment-2657861 Share on other sites
tombeej Posted July 6, 2015 Share I would also like Kwiatkowski so take it (or Degenkolb but he'll struggle a bit in the Mur de Huy ) Ja, Degenkolb is just a little too big and too much of a sprinter for the Mur. The only 'sprinters' who might have a faint sniff are maybe Sagan, Matthews or Gerrans. It's going to be a battle between the hilly classics guys like Valverde, Dan Martin, Rodriguez, Kwiatkowski, van Avermaet (maybe top 5) and I'm sure Nibs is going to go big. Other names to watch out for who will have a big go should be:Meintjes (MTN)Kennaugh (Sky)Arredondo (Trek)Costa (Lampre) Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/144285-2015-tour-de-france/page/29/#findComment-2657870 Share on other sites
khm4252 Posted July 6, 2015 Share Flipping upset with DSTV as they are not showing the Tour on the Drifta sports channels. There is no live soccer or rugby during the week why cant they show the Tour on SS1, 3 or 4?! Bloody ridiuclous! I can understand they are using SS2 for Wimbledon which is acceptable. Was really hoping to watch on my iDrifta during the week at work. tombeej Posted July 6, 2015 Share How are you streaming it on your phone?Just the normal links as always? What phone do you use? Just my normal BB Z10, nothing special. I just open my browser on my phone, open steephill.tv and click on a Euro Sport link. You can have your phone in your lap as you work if you're in an open plan office with 1 earpiece discretely in 1 ear. I'm lucky that cell signal in my area is strong. If not, connect to the company wifi. For the finale when the big attacks happen on the final climb, I sometimes slip away to an empty boardroom to watch. You'll just have to buy extra data coz you'll be needing it for 3 weeks of this! Cav' Posted July 6, 2015 Share I've tried it on my IPhone before but without any success. Audio works fine at least. Alternatively- streaming on my pc works (but it's frowned upon) Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/144285-2015-tour-de-france/page/29/#findComment-2657917 Share on other sites
tombeej Posted July 6, 2015 Share Today we finish on one of the most famous climbs of world cycling. So much heritage, so many legends have been made on this climb. I've read stories from riders who've raced this climb in the classics and they tell of what it's like going up there. Not the steepness, but the wall of noise from the roar of the fanatical Belgian spectators. For the Belgians, the Mur is a kind of religious place for cycling. (Edit: picture removed because it was of the wrong hill. It was of the Muur, not the Mur) Link to comment https://forum.bikehub.co.za/topic/144285-2015-tour-de-france/page/29/#findComment-2657918 Share on other sites
