N1 is the best.According to someone that took the R511recently, the road between Brits and Thabazimbi is in a very bad condition.
peddle Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Did the marathon, rout was great till lack of rout markers resulted in a lot of riders getting lost/ taking wrong trail, even the ultra guys went down the wrong track, how does that count (DQF?) very disheartening to have to haul back UP a morse uphill after coming to a dead end! Why did the excellent rout marking end on top of the mountain, can check out riders strava there are like 3 or 4 different routs taken to get back on track, Usually these events run like clockwork, tough day made tougher, next time I suppose.
ACM Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Also did the marathon; one place the markings wasn't great and we thought we got lost; but then saw another marker down the road. We did miss one turn into single track and had to turn back. Luckily not major. The climbs were tough due to lose surfaces. Was a nice day! Great to do an event where there are fewer people - no crouds, hold-ups, etc. just a long day if ine drive through the morning!!! Just a bit too far out.

Cant believed that so few people done the race.On the Nissan series the heavy "MTB,s " complain that the routes is too easy but did not see them on this more difficult routes. Well doneand thank you to the organisers
