Knee pain

Hi guys

 

Whats the cleat change needed if I have knee/ligament pain on left knee, to the outside of the knee, bit to the back.

Is the pain just on the side of the knee?  Is there a hot spot where you can feel the pain is quite intense just behind the piece that sticks out of the side?

Pain felt like it was at the back of the knee/leg, towards the outside.

 

difficult to pin point while peddling/Mtb'ing.

Sure, when cycling it just feels sore, but after if you poke and prod your knee with your fingers can you pin point where the pain is?

 

I had/have ITBS and using the checklist in the form that I'll post below I was able to confirm this.

After months and months of pain and searching, that helped me figure out what was going on and I've now got it under control.

Looking/reading I fall into a ITBS problem.

For me, my heel was slightly too far out - I moved the cleat to bring it slightly in and my pain vanished.

Flats. I kid you not.

I had this issue as well, I went for a bike fit and they changed the way my pedal stroke tracked and it was fixed. Never came back again.
