I don't intend starting a whole debate , but can a Scott Spark 940 be ( effectively ) converted to a 27.5er. The 29er is just not for me and I have a few 26ers.

Yes, it's not as if you'll have any clearance issues. You'll drop your BB by about 3/4 of an inch, but other than that no changes. You could even put large volume tyres on the 27.5 rims and have no issues with clearance except maybe on the chainstays...

Of course the wheels will fit, but I think you will mess up the geometry, but who knows, maybe you'll like it. Borrow some 27.5 wheels from the lbs or a friend and see if it works.

Has been asked and discussed before as well:

No change to the geometry. ONLY the BB height.

Before you give up - try moving the key (funny oval washer on the rear shock mount) that changes the headset angle to the more vertical one on that bike - 2 minutes with an alan key - changes the bikes handling dramatically.

Worth a shot.

Do a search here for your frame http://forums.mtbr.com/27-5-650b/list-27-5-compatible-26ers-376656.html

and here http://forums.mtbr.com/27-5-650b/

Alternatively take your frame to your LBS and see if you can fit 650b wheels

Also what fork you have? If is a fox it will work

Erm... comprehension fail.

He has a 29er. No need to check clearances....
