Hi

A while ago there was a thread from somebody that rode from Gauteng to (I think) Sabie/Nelspruit---or something like that ??? It was MTB taking the back roads.

Do you know about it ?

yep. was referring more to the ride than any formal organized event.

Who names a town Tonteldoos? Take away the N+1 rule and you end up with the type of guys you totelly don't want to ride with.

We went to a small festival there some years ago and they had some wicked Mampoer! When my friend opened the bottle at the back of the car we all just about passed out from the fumes!

A `Tonteldoos` is actually a box (yes i know) containing fires starters of flint in ye `lo `Front Pullers (Voortrekkers) days. They have a great highlands festival every year and this event is to co-inside with it.

As Mojoman says - watch your drink - those highlanders are crazy!

ah, cool. So English equivalent is "tinderbox" I guess. That mampoer sounds like a reward worth riding for!
