Frame Sale

Hello there fellow hubbers,

 

I have a question with which I have somewhat of a dilemma.

 

I have a carbon road bike frame, size 56.

 

Perfect condition except for the fact that the pop rivets holding the FD to the frame have some play.

Can I sell the frame as is and let the seller know about the FD rivets? if so, how much could I reasonably expect for the frameset?

 

OR do I fix the frame and then sell it? this route poses a hassle for me as I would like to get rid of the frame. But lets assume I fix the frame, what could I expect to sell it for then?

 

The sale would include the FD, fork and headset. I have attached some pictures of the frame and the FD.

The FD works perfectly but sometimes the chain comes off the chainrings and one needs to stop to put it back on.

Cant you replace the Fd with one that has a mount to wrap around the frame?

It should be an easy fix.  The rivets need to be drilled out and replaced. Just remember to take out any pieces from inside the frame otherwise you will get a rattle.

thanks guys for the replies. so the consensus is repair it and then sell it.

Reasonable price I can expect to get for the frameset?

Probably around 4500 ish. There are Giant TCR carbon a little newer for R6000 on classifieds.
