Tubehunter Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Thanks for posting Ben! More confirmation!
wogan Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I suspect he's at it again. After I stopped hearing from Nelson, I started hearing from a "Crosby Adams", with email address crossieadams@gmail.com and phone number 071 884 3004. A search of the email address yields nothing, which makes me suspect it's a brand new account. He asked to buy the iMac, and then asked me if he could send his errand guy to collect it, as he's currently in Robertson. I also missed a call from him this morning. I've told him that I need time to clean it up, and prefer to hold it until he can collect it himself. Just waiting on his response now.
BBN Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I see another post in the Stolen Bikes section about someone losing a bike last week to........yes, Nelson!Another bad story, but don't understand how anyone lets any item go before monies have cleared??

marko35s Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Nabbed? As in kidnapped? What happend. As in had his bike surgically removed at a guess after reading the post in stolen bikes.
Meezo Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I smell a sting op coming up soon.... i fear unlikely as nelson is probably watching this thread....
David Hartley Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 As in had his bike surgically removed at a guess after reading the post in stolen bikes. He pretended to deposit the money. Hopped on the bike and cycled away!! This bike has been stolen by a con artist in CAPE TOWN CBD - monies bounced after 5 days. North African gentlemen by the names of 'Clavie Maliwa and Nelson". Fraud case opened. Do not hand over bikes until you are 100% certain monies are paid and verified. Purchased on a Sunday when banks closed. Story is that they are collecting for someone out of town so time constraints, well dressed, en route to church... all very slick. Both parties keep in contact and convince you re validity. Please look out for it and contact me if similar is spotted on the market. Breezer Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Vredendal en Vredenburg is meer as 200km van mekaar af...OP het gese Vredendal.
David Hartley Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 We unfortunately got caught by these guys... so convincing. Here is a pic - but unf he kept his head down. He was called Clavie Maliwa. They even kept answering calls after the fact assuring us all was in order. The cheque was stopped by 'Graystone' - so possible they have a stolen chq book.
David Hartley Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 A case has been opened re the bike and they welcome any input as this 'gang' is possible also the bunch that are 'renting' out properties and when tenants get there the keys don't fit. We spoke directly to Sergeant Vergottini who said they have detectives on it - we also gave them them this blog and they will keep an eye on it for any more recent issues that come up with contacts. Case number at CT CENTRAL - CAS1741/12/2014 Tel 021 4678000
mikkelz Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Story is that they are collecting for someone out of town so time constraints, well dressed, en route to church... all very slick. More like: all very sick. Assholes!
