Well, first time I will attempt a blue route as I have been on the jeep tracks before.

Which what be the best blue route to ride as a 'first timer' to at Tokai?

Have heard many stories of people wiping and breaking bones badly, so just curious.... any tips/be careful.....

I will be coming down from the Silvermine side..

Thanks..

Boulders, Mamba, Boomslang and Vasbyt followed by Fairie Garden..remember these may be blue but each has its own little twist...rocky drops, roots and other places that can trip you up....so if its your first trip down a single track, do yourself a favour and check them out first before hauling ass downhill!

What time? If we can hook up I can guide you around.

If not from the Silvermine gate follow the path down until the road splits, take the road to the right and a few km's down Boulders is on your right. After exiting that trail turn downhill to the left and Boomslang is on the right, at the exit to Boomslang you can go straight on to Snakeyes or follow the jeeptrack through to Vasbyt and run down there through the quarry and then on to My Roots.

Non of those should try too hard to maim you but do provide enough of a challenge to have fun with.

Thanks, will definitely take it easy the first time around.

Thanks, timing is a bit touch and go as it depends on what time my wife heads there to do a swim training session after a run, but probably between 8 and 9..

If you make it 10am I can ride up and meet you at the gate.

Can do - will pm my contact details to you as soon as I get in front of a pc, although I should be easy to spot after today's foodathon. I will be the one laying next to a bike, clutching my chest and asking for an ambulance [emoji1]

The way I feel right now, riding down only from Silvermine sounds a lot more attractive than riding up first......

Hahaha. Yip... And my awesome wife will be waiting at the bottom to collect me, cooler box in boot! Lazy ride tomorrow, lol...

I think you're confused. Blue Route is the mall you pass on your way to Tokai.

Don't ride there. Its no fun

Hahaha, that explains why I can't find any Strava segments...  :whistling:
