KarlvN Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I being doing a LOT of Dorstberg and Contermans Mast climbs the last while, and I am planning on starting some crazy repeats some time henceforth, before I finally start training for the endurance bit. I have already noticed huge gains in my climbing ability, and I trust that I will end up doing fairly well all things being (un)equal...

Bernard Horn Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Early falls and mechanicals just outside of town slow down the riders going up the Wapad.Resulting in a loooong push and then a dash trying to make up time going down the Wapad.Makes for some crazy riding

I am booked in outside Willowmore, the missus will be dropping me off at the start and she needs to make her way to Knysna. What is the recommended route and are supporters allowed to dash across the Pass before the race commences? Also getting back to Willowmore afterwards. Will the Prince Alfred Pass be opened to motorist post race or do we have to go via George and Outeniqua Pass? (I am in Willowmore for another night due to flight arrangement).Â

(I am in Willowmore for another night due to flight arrangement).  afaik they close the pass very early in the morning so she would not be able to drive back via the pass. It's also not particularly quicker despite the shorter distance, probably better to drive via George anyway
