Giant Anthem X 29 vs Pyga ONETEN 29

I have also been considering this choice for some time and quite simply it comes down to:

- 27k for an SLX equipped alu Giant (30k with a decent set of light wheels or at least rims).

or

- 40k for an SLX equipped Pyga.

The Anthem EX throws a spanner in the works as that is an Anthem with a 120mm fork. It is 650b but apparently the handling is significantly more free ridie.

The Giant is probably the logical choice, but on your death bed, will you think "jeepers, I am glad I saved 10k on that Giant, or that you bought the best bike you could and it was magic"?

Ahhh...what a debate. Currently have a Momsen that I am upgrading bit by bit with a view to get either the Giant or Pyga one day when I'm big...

Does anyone know where to pick up a Giant frame and what the cost is?

Any LBS that can get Giant stuff will be able to put an order in with Dragons. AFAIK they're very reasonably priced for what they are.

I had an Anthem, never got comfortable on it, changed to a Trance. Next is a 0neTen 29. Why? The Giants crowd me in the cockpit area while the Pyga is a lot more spacious and at 1.95 m it makes a difference. The price? yes you are paying a premium, is it worth it? who knows unless you have lived with both for a while. I think that the Pyga is more suited to slightly larger South African's in our conditions, but that's just an opinion based on nothing more than my gut feel.
