I mean walking on your heals and slipping and sliding at the trailhead's cobra polished floor isn't cool...especially in lycra So, yea.....credit where its due yeah, but when they have their decking finished, a tap number on flats will not have the same effect. Despite his name, Michale Flatley wears cleats. I'm sure of it!

Safety belts are a safety component, which in the cycling world would be helmets, pads and so on. I just don't think it's a valid analogy, which is why I quoted you. rouxtjie Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Just thought....on the walking thing, might be very understated pro for skateboard shoes See, the okes that have them generally hate climbing...the klap a toon to the top and hike a bike is much easier with flatties. With cleats is actually a dogshow, especially very stiff soled models. Its also on the very sharp steep rocky stuff it becomes important to keep contact with your pedals and squeezing every watt out of your legs(up and down pedal stroke).
