Thought Daniel Oss for BMC was also very impressive... did a lot of work on Friday trying to bring the break away group back and then was up front again yesterday.

Great weekend for Sky and G.T despite his crash yesterday...

Not sure what to make of Sagan at the moment...

Quickstep I think need to just fine tune their tactics a bit at crucial times, they have the riders and the form.

Not sure if it was discussed yet?

But Sagan is bloody nowhere  ........so far (compared to 2013 or even 2014)

I read the tinkoff race report. . Basically all but (sagan and one other) got caught behind a couple of crashes one rider broke his nose. So help was very limited. . I actually think it was a good call by them not to chase down or try bridge to the chasing group.

But yeah his form doesn't look great atm.

Don't think all the crap happening at that team is helping either. . I see they released a statement lastnight that Riis contract has been terminated.

So now you have a squad who doesn't have a sporting director.. apparently they will make an announcement on Thursday. . So I can imagine all the riders are a bit concerned.

Someone should really let Tinkov know that cycling isn't flippen football and changing important staff members on the eve of the biggest races if flippen stupid.

I simply cannot fathom why cycling is such a popular pastime in Belgium. With weather and roads like they have I would have thought darts or chess or something would be a better activity.

I PROMISE TO TRY AND NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT A LITTLE RAIN IN A RACE AGAIN

It's a Catholic thing: the more you suffer, the better! ;-)

seriously, normal Belgians like myself stay indoors with such weather. I rather wait until we have some nice spring/summer days again. Then you have nice flat roads, or seperate cycle road, not too much wind and lots of cafés with outside terraces along the way... that's why ot's popular

Agreed, don't think what is happening behind the scenes is helping his confidence at all...

If the weather is anything like Sunday it's going to be carnage. It's one of the big monuments so everyone will be riding like a desperado, roads are so flipping narrow, caked with mud and manure, and the cobbles are much more numerous and more hectic than Sunday.

From a pure racing perspective I hope the weather is nothing like Sunday. It might be good for those "remember when" stories, but not good for cycling when even the big names quietly let a small group go away, and sit up and stop racing because it's no longer a race anymore, but a matter of survival.

I see the whole of Tour of Flanders will be shown live on SS2 on Sunday!!

how jealous would you be if I tell you it passes practically at my mum's doorstep?

Most of it is in the area where I grew up.

But no, I'm not going to watch it. It's difficult getting there with a the road closures, even postponed Easter dinner at my mum's til Monday

I mean, just imagine a muddy sodden Koppenberg in conditions like that. Everyone will have to walk up up it in roadie shoes. Maybe they should lay a climbing rope down the side so that people can pull themselves up it....

That's nice.

I have a buddy that is going to do the Flanders and Roubaix amateur race the day before and then watch the pros the next day.. he does is rather regularly together with some other classics.

You guys are so lucky to have all of that.. I am slightly jealous.. not to ride the damn thing, but to watch them zip past.
